We only talk about important topics here at InkleDeux, and Avengers: Endgame is one of the most important pop-culture events in a very long time. The MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has ingrained itself into our culture over the last 10 years and 20+ movies. Names like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, were all reserved for the nerdy few. It has completely reversed. Now, I can count the number people who don’t know any of those names on one hand. Movies like Black Panther and Captain Marvel each hit a BILLION dollars. That means its not just nerds going to see those movies. This is no longer a comic book nerd thing. This is a universal thing. This is a movie lover thing. This is the biggest thing to happen to movies both in scope and box office. This podcast is our nerd out session. We tried to reign it in but we still ended up with a really long episode. I wouldn’t call it a review because there isn’t a lot of critiquing. It’s mainly us talking about things we loved and the implications of events in the movie. If your looking for an artistic film review, this is not it. If you want to get nerdy, please jump in, there’s always room for more.
