Episode 21 – How Are We Saved?

We continue to dig into our Catholic and Protestant comparisons, this time around salvation and justification. There are a lot of misconceptions on both sides here. Many believe that Protestants say faith alone, but we the “once saved, always saved,” doesn’t really hold water. The perceptions of Catholics is that they are doing things to try and earn their place in Heaven, which is not something we can attain by strength of will. The reality for both is in the middle, having and exercising faith.

Despite saying over and over again that we drink things other than beer, both of our beverages were beers from this weekend. (*I looked up my beer and it was a Blood Orange IPA from 21st Amendment Brewery.)

Our life lessons are both around the importance of talking with people, empathizing with their position, and responding to message and not your bias.
