California recently updated their sexual education curriculum and we wanted to discuss it. The reason it is note worthy is the age at which it begins teaching (kindergarten) and the inclusion of LGBTQ. This is an interesting topic that probably boils down to more of a question between Parent and State. This topic does cross over into thoughts around gender identity and thoughts around transgender as well. As is our new norm, everything is politicized, so we cannot discuss these topics without understanding acknowledging where politics play a role. We didn’t do a beverage this week. Instead, since we are still hung over from Endgame, we decided to discuss what we are currently watching. Here’s the least surprising thing you’ll read all week: they’re pretty nerdy.
