This week, Brandon and AJ do a (semi)speed run through multiple topics. After a discussion of how we spent the Father's Day weekend, we hit Brandon's lingering frustration with the bank bailout, our joint surprise at Keanu's surging internet popularity, and the value of strong father figures.
Brandon was recently provided some feedback from Jared Truby from Cat and Cloud Coffee to help handle the pressure of starting a business. The advice was to meditate for 10-20 minutes morning and night. Brandon told this story on Instagram and received a request for caution from a social media friend.

Today's topic is around the paper Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire. It is a follow up to a post I made back in on National Women's Day.
Often, we think of all these big, grandiose ways to serve people, and we don't necessarily do a good job of considering how to go about it in the most authentic, effective way we can.
Our topic is a continuation from last podcast, where we discussed representation. The conversation was heading towards the concept of white privilege, but we cut it off because we were already at an hour. We decided that this is an important enough topic that we should pick up on the next podcast, so here you go.
