when my kids were new born, I did not lay the law down on them as we brought them home. No, what I did was love them. We would lay around and coo at each other. I would hold her and kiss her and play together. There is nothing but love and provision.
What I know about myself changes. What my girls know about themselves changes. It should continue to change for all of us too. If it ever becomes set in stone...then you're dead.
Then I sat back and thought about how I wanted my kid to operate. If this is what I'm teaching, then that is what I believe is the best way to operate. If I believe that is the best way to operate, then I need to operate that way. Right then, I recommitted
One key take away for me from that conversation was that faith is developed in retrospect and in the small quite times.
