I want to focus on a specific aspect of goal setting though. A goal is future focused, where a resolution is focused on the immediate. Why is it so important to have a future goal?

Keep The First Thing First
I realized that had wrapped myself up in the action of roasting and serving coffee and building a company and brand. I had moved all of the "stuff" up to the number one spot, and once it was quarantined, I felt lost. I knew that I had a calling and so I was confused at why I felt so lost. The reason was that I didn't have the first things first.
Unrealistic Expectations
I have no reasonable justification for this. We only have 39 likes on Facebook and 19 followers on Twitter. Our largest social media platform is Instagram, which is about 300. I had no reason to believe that we would be an instant success. There were no numbers to support my hope that the world would see we started a podcast and everyone would stop what they are doing to listen to our content. I may be ruggedly good-looking, but I know that I'm not THAT interesting.
